History of Department of Economics:

Year of Establishment: 1996

We have six papers in Economics at T.Y.B.A. level. The department has got qualified teaching staff, every year our result is above 85%. The department of economics has been orderly conducted various workshops, Seminars and conferences. The department has organised 9 UGC sponsored National Conferences successfully. We have started M.A. Economics from the academic year 2013-14. The result of M.A. Economics was 90% onwards academic year 2014-15 till 2020-21.We have started PhD  research centre in the subject of Economics affiliated to University of Mumbai in the academic year 2017-18. 

Goals : 

• To deliver excellent, stimulating, research-led teaching across a broad range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, giving our students the ability to become independent 
• To support and promote the research activities of our students and teachers 
• To support the staff and students within the Department to achieve at the highest level
